That's So New York - Stacy Ann Ferguson, best known as Fergie, is unquestionably a recognized contemporary fashion icon. Born in California, this talented lady has taken the music, acting and fashion world by storm, being able to reinvent herself over and over again, yet preserving that singular cool appeal that defines her. Even though Fergie had been wondering through the music industry for a while, it wasn’t until 2001, when she was offered a feature in a Black eyed Peas’ song called Shut Up, that she began her journey through the successful road of fame. From then on, everything was about golden opportunities for Fergie: she was invited to record four additional songs with The Black Eyed Peas, becoming a permanent vocalist, and releasing their album ‘Elephunk’ in 2003, giving birth to a groundbreaking hit named ‘Where is the love?’ Back then Fergie was all about street ease and hip hop flair. Baggy pants and caps were sort of her thing, and in time she learned that, as her amazing silhouette allows her to wear pretty much anything, polishing her look was an inevitable change if she wanted to keep on growing, professionally and fashionably.
So Miss Ferguson overturned caps for designer bags and baggy trousers for stylish fitted pants, becoming a brand new Fergie. Still, she conserved her cool and sleek spirit, achieving the perfect example of street chic glam, as she was coincidentally launching her solo career. As a former Kipling contributor and image of Avon’s‘Outspoken’ fragrance, Fergie seems to have no problem when it comes to translating her essence into commercial items. Her assertive influence over the fashion industry is increasingly notorious, being labeled as an utterly glamorous style icon. This particular ensemble is surprisingly sober, considering Fergie loves contrasting colors. She was spotted leaving her hotel in London looking marvelously sleek in a black and black ensemble, sporting a pair of black pants, a Markus Lupfer ‘Legend’ sequined black jumper, a Yves Saint Laurent ‘Roady’ hobo bag, and black heels. The aviator shades give the whole look a mysteriously masculine touch, enclosing the entire outfit with street stylish flair, Fergie patented.
