The fabric is one of the most critical factors to be considered when choosing a wedding sherwani. The cloth is supposed to ooze elegance and style and therefore the fabric used greatly matters. When purchasing the cloth, it is important to ensure that the fabric is of high quality or the best quality if possible. A fabric which is of low grade or poor quality will ruin the overall look. Dark colors are most preferred for sherwanis as compared to light colors. The color of the sherwani must also go with the colors of jewelry used and must also compliment the color of the shoes.

• Size and fitting

The worst thing that an Indian groom can do when it comes to a sherwani is to choose a sherwani that is not fitting. Sherwanis must not be loose or too tight but must fit the groom well if the look is to be elegant and that is the reason why most of them are custom made for the grooms. It doesn't matter if the sherwani is made of high quality fabric and is of the right color, if it does not fit or is ill-fitted then you will not look good.
