define: frumpy

That's So New York - I'm not usually one for getting giddy at the sight of a sweater; more appropriately I have to admit that I very rarely throw on a sweater as I've always thought of them as a garment which make you look little frumpy (okay, so they’re not exactly flattering, right?) or perhaps a piece which your gran would moan at you about and force on you during the winter months (or worse, she might even knit you one.) Recently my admiration towards the common ol' sweater has been peaking; I presume that it is simply because the "I never have to wear my school uniform again!" vibes have kicked in and to go from wearing a garish navy-blue turned purple sweater each and every day to lazing around the house in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt (don't I sound 'fashionable'?) is not easy (ah, how I miss that delightfully itchy piece.) Referring back to my brief mention of the word frumpy...

define: frumpy

1. A girl or woman regarded as dull, plain, or unfashionable.

2. A person regarded as colorless and primly sedate.

I was actually scanning through one of my most recent Online-Store discoveries,Farfetch (which you may have heard me mention on the odd occasion) when I thought "hey ho, shall we ramble about sweaters?" after I came across some delightful pieces from a number of designers (both established and up-and-coming) which rejected all of my previous "jumpers are frumpy" claims and triggered a sort of high-school crush type feeling (a crush on a sweater? well, that's just a tad new.)
