Back-Pack /ˈbakˌpak/

Verb: Travel or hike carrying one's belongings in a backpack: "a week's backpacking in the Pyrenees".

Noun: A bag, often supported by a metal frame, with shoulder straps that allow it to be carried on someone's back.

Despite the fact that I now write on an almost daily basis (thanks to the blog) I still always make sure that I have a dictionary and thesaurus close by (in this case in a tab, seeming that the internet is all brainy and can do that.) Recently I’ve been admiring the good ol’ fashioned backpack a little more than usual; for some reason whilst preparing to write this post I began thinking “what is the meaning of backpack?” (in a slightly less “what is the meaning of life” type manner) simply because I began remembering the garish hunk of junk I had whilst at primary school and how it was ridiculously oversized and fit the precise description of your classic backpack which you would take backpacking, yet the backpack’s I am referring to now are not even relatable to your old, oversized hiking necessity, yet instead rather small (reasonable sized) and covered in prints whilst having pull-fasteners (in addition to giant plastic clips,) rather than netted pockets which your drink would fit in and an interior which has been lined with endless amounts of black nylon material.

Whilst on the hunt for a selection of favorable backpacks I decided to head over to my good ol’ friend Topman as well as Topshop, seeming that I have no plan in stopping this “girls should wear boys clothes” campaign; you may have seen it multiple times during my posts orientated around Topman and perhaps it has now become a little more respected after Topshop’s recent debut of their New Mod Fall/Winter 2011 collection which is in fact orientated around the rebelliously clad Teddy Boy from back in the 60s! (Referenced from Topshop) and presents nothing but masculine blazers and varsity pieces, accompanied by the odd shirt or two (yet as usual, that is for another post entirely.) Onto the backpacks ...
