Men's fashion has continued to evolve over the decades with various trends that allow men to look sophisticated with their style. From top hats to bow ties, there have been a number of different looks that men have worn over the years. Today, there are a few fashion statements that need to come back in style to enhance the style of the modern man.

Suspenders

Suspenders are an accessory that not only adds class to any man's wardrobe but allows him to look like a true gentleman. Men can wear the suspenders under a jacket, which can be seen when he takes his coat off. The suspenders can even be worn with a bow tie for a look that nods to the 1920s.

Sweaters Over the Shoulders

Although men's fashion may have lost its way in the 90s with the grunge trend, it was on the right track in the 80s when sweaters were commonly worn over the shoulders. This allowed men to look put together for a preppy look that made women swoon due to the sophistication. This style is easy to recreate and can be worn in the fall and winter seasons to elevate the formality of different outfits. Men can even use coupons from Discountrue to obtain cable knit sweaters that can be worn over the shoulders.

Starter Jackets

Starter jackets were a hit in the 80s for the urban style that completed any look and allowed men to support their favorite team. The product looked cool and edgy on men and was often worn with a hooded sweatshirt underneath.

Overalls

Overalls are currently a trend for women but can still make a comeback for men who want to look casual with their attire and rock an old fashion statement. This clothing item used to look cool with one of the straps unbuckled and with a pair of high tops. A button-up shirt or vintage band tee can also be worn underneath for a slightly grunge style.

To enhance the fashion of men, there are several different trends that can hit the runway again for looks that can be revamped for a fresh style. This will allow men to evolve with their wardrobe and look cool in attire that was once popular. Although some fashion statements should be left in the past, there are a few that are trendy enough to reemerge.
