The Gurukul School Of Design- Inspiring The Next Generation Of Fashion Stalwarts

The Gurukul School of Design has spread its wings in Jaipur with an aim towards inspiring and guiding the next generation of creators and visionaries in the fashion industry. The first session starts from August 2018 and this world class design school is an initiative taken by leading fashion designer Raghavendra Rathore and Jaipur based global jewellery brand Amrapali. The Gurukul School of Design will have world-class Indian and global faculty along with an innovative design curriculum that covers all aspects of design, marketing, merchandising and management. The programme also includes courses for well-being, thereby making it a one of a kind learning experience that fosters creativity.

The design curriculum offers a 360-degree insight into contemporary design and has a core design syllabus that has been tailored carefully by industry experts and specialists under the mentorship of Raghavendra Rathore. There is a 4 year course covering Design 360, Management of Design, Business of Design and Gurukul Well-Being. The Gurukul School of Design is now seeking talented, creative and passionate young pupils who have serious dreams about their future for its first batch. They will be the biggest brand ambassadors for the institution upon graduating according to Raghavendra Rathore, the brains behind this institution.

The Gurukul School of Design derives inspiration from the traditional Gurukul concept where an entire community is built upon common aspects in their lifestyles and visions and is driven by discipline and sharpening of the intellect. Modern education systems serve to cram information which only enhances solitary personality aspects. However, in a true Gurukul, education is more holistic, experience based and balanced with food for the soul, i.e. wisdom and knowledge that also caters to the inner self. The Gurukul School of Design aims at enabling pupils to view with their hearts and minds alike. The institution goes beyond conventional educational perceptions through creative openness and evolution.

The Gurukul School of Design will usher in a new educational paradigm where Eastern design sensibilities will be fused with a more contemporary curriculum that will have ample coverage for ancient traditions and technology alike. Best fashion designing college syllabus is tailored intricately and there is ample coverage for marketing, public relations and business management along with brand building. In the very first year, students will seek to build a strong creative foundation while they will attempt for a greater understanding of other aspects that are vital for designers to achieve success. The concept of the Gurukul will be emphasized via self-control and a system of checks and balances in order to foster discipline.

Students will learn the importance of proper breathing via yoga, posture and adequate nutrition. Self-governance will be distilled into students on the basis of a proper value system. There will be fulfilling field trips to several past relics including forts, palaces and museums which will help pupils get a thorough understanding of design and marketing of ideas in times when communication tools were non-existent. A complete and holistic education is the mandate taken up by The Gurukul School of Design. Here’s calling out to all talented and creative designers who foresee a future in design.
