The Difference Between Quality Designer Handbags and Knockoffs

If you’re shopping on a budget you might consider purchasing a knockoff handbag instead of a designer bag or original handbag, but that may be a mistake. There is a difference between quality handbags and knockoffs. After all, they’re called knockoffs for a reason.

The most obvious difference between original or designer handbags and knockoffs is quality. Each designer handbag is tailor-made by specialized companies, equipment, and artists to produce a unique product that is made from the best material on the market. No corners have been cut, and the bag has been made to be fashionable and functional. Knockoffs, on the other hand, are made to be inexpensive replicas. They’re often manufactured with lower grade materials, and as such, won't last as long as original or designer bags. It’s worth the money to pay more for a higher quality bag.

After quality, designer handbags are also made to be unique, and help women express their own sense of style. Designers are artists, and they understand how important it is for women to show off their personality, and one-of-a-kind jewelry, handbags, and clothing help women do that. With that in mind, designers create their bags to fit in with everyday clothing and styles, but to also have a little extra flair, and really make things pop. Those are qualities that a knockoff bag only imitates.

Quality, care, and a unique and beautiful bag are the main differences between knockoff handbags and designer handbags. You can tell the difference between the two, especially when you look at designer clutches like Dareen Hakim’s Le Milanese Envelope bag. This bag, which is sold at Y-Clad's Hidden Gem in Manhattan, is a modern and uber chic red envelope design, and has a flair and style that can’t be found in knockoff bags. It's also an example of the quality that comes from investing in a great purse, as it's made of fine Italian cowhide.

These types of unique bags can be found at Y-Clad.com, and at Y-Clad’s Hidden Gem. At Y-Clad's Hidden Gem there are often artist exhibitions and designer showcases of quality handbags, jewelry, or accessories. Events and exhibitions such as these are great places to find not only quality handbags but extraordinary bags from a number of talented designers.

Purchasing a designer handbag Y-Clad.com or Y-Clad's Hidden Gem is a great way to ensure that you get the quality and unique beauty that aren't available in knockoff bags.

Informative article.  Buying knockoffs is not the best of ideas.  However, there are great fashion bags that offer great quality and style for less.  $500 and $600 designer handbags are a ripoff.

I do agree that there are cheaper bags that offer great style; However, I can't imagine a bag that costs $100 can contend with one of $500 and $600. In order to achieve lower price points, quality of materials are sacrificed, as well as, the difference between a manufactured handbag verses one that is handmade.

I don't think anyone should purchase a $500 and $600 handbag without certain criteria being fulfilled such as the level of value. Luxury designer brand handbags are generally fashioned with precision and with attention to every little detail. Not to mention, the level of exclusivity that luxury brands offer. You will know that purchase and even further, that investment made is one that is unique insofar as a limited number of people can say they have that exact one.

hello keisha

i totally agree with you, but there is one missing point which we are not focusing

the brands actually incorporate a hefty cost of DEVELOPMENT , STAFFING , FIX & RUNNING OVER HEADS , ORGANIZATIONAL POLICIES OF HAVING ATLEAST 45-60% PROFITABILITY & on top of this they also charge for the BRAND NAME, because all the publicity campaign have some cost, which they recovered from the product price

i personally think small manufacturers dont have these much accounts , they are willing and happy to charge the material + labour cost along with 10-20% profit, and they feel themselves in heaven if they get so

i also think that small manufacturer / non branded products even have better materials then branded products

All we pay to brand is because of their AdS , PUBLICITY , AND EXPOSURE OF THEIR PRODUCTS IN IMPRESSIVE WAY
