Congratulations! You’re a brand new mum! Everything is magical, you’re glowing, you’re full of energy and full of confidence – you feel you could conquer the world! Right? Of course not.
Being a mum is great but it takes up a lot of your energy. Mostly you feel exhausted and like you’re about to fall apart. You feel uncomfortable and nothing fits and you just want to jump right out of your skin.
Well, we prepared a couple of tricks you could use, so you can truly appreciate the full experience of being a brand new mummy!
Hoodies, leggings and flip-flops. Did you just look at yourself and wonder how we got it right? Yes, it’s important to feel comfortable in the things you wear and no, it’s not okay to neglect yourself. Of course you don’t have the time or the money to go shopping; everything around you is just baby clothes, baby stuff, baby things!
Trick number 1: COMBINE! Open your closet, look at the things you would never combine and do it! Combine that old skirt with that floral blouse; those shoes with that dress and yes definitely that belt and those jeans! Who knows? Maybe you’re the next Carrie Bradshaw!
Trick number 2: SEW! Yes, you read it right – sew! Even if you don’t know how, try to learn. Besides the fact that you can make your own clothes the way you like it, it could be a fun pastime and a cool method to keep you calm after that long day of being a mum!
Trick number 3: TREAT YOURSELF! Of course, having a baby is expensive and you have to make it your priority, but did you see those shoes? Don’t forget about yourself! Your feet hurt and you could really use a new pair. They don’t have to be the most expensive ones, try something cute and comfy! You can never go wrong with a pair of good old ballet shoes!
Even though you probably don’t believe it, you still have that glowing sensation! Your skin is your friend, and take that into your advantage!
Trick number 1: HYDRATION! You have heard it a thousand of times already, but it’s important not to forget it! Keep yourself hydrated! Drink lots of water, make your own natural juices. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables. Use natural products that are based on plants (aloe vera) and make sure they don’t contain alcohol – it can cause irritations!Make sure that you do deep peeling before hydration. Also, popular treatments like microdermabrasion can help you to keep your skin smooth and clean.
Trick number 2: EXCERCISE! We know what you’re thinking already – I don’t have the time or the energy! Some low impact exercise can only do you well! Yoga and Pilates are great and highly recommended for new mums. After a few days you will feel like a whole new self!
Trick number 3: TUMMY TUCK! Abdominoplasty or “Tummy-tuck” is a cosmetic surgery procedure used to make the abdomen thinner and more firm. It found popularity among young mums. So if you have the ‘gut’ and the money – you go girl!
