India’s fabrics and garments

As the humans involved into mankind, clothing has become the essential characteristic feature that is acquired after birth. It will not be wrong to say that the ideal characteristic of a man is depicted on the way he dresses himself. For illustration, a professional wears business formals during his work, for party he would prefer a trendy outfit and for a lazy day he would wear his casual attire. These are the rules set by the society regarding the clothing and it is been followed ever since the textile manufacturers set foot in India. Nevertheless, the variety of fashion and trend has indeed set a huge market for the fabric manufacturers in India. There wouldn’t be anyone who would not go with an amazing pair of clothes, it has become as essential as food for stomach and oxygen for lungs and clothes for the body.

India is land where you observe ‘unity in diversity', which means different kinds of religion, culture and tradition is practiced in India. However, all are staying united under one border but divided with the state borders. Each state has its own culture, tradition, language and most importantly a different way of getting dressed up. They have their unique cultural attires that they prefer wearing. The textile fabric might be similar, but they are diversified by the patterns, zaris, embroidery, motives, color and ornaments that goes in the manufacturing of textiles in India.

In the ancient history, the vegetation and the animal skins were used as clothing for the mankind. But the knowledge that the humans had gave rise to the new technology of industrial fabric manufacturers and company. The vegetation and animals were replaced by the felt or fabrics converted into yarn and the woven or stuck to form the beautiful textile garments which is then given shape to make it comfortable to be adorned. From the Stone Age to the present era, textile manufacturing has been evolving consistently and the outcome is always positive. You must be surprised to know that the way of finding and discovering the materials to be formed into the textile fabric is termed to be archeology.

Earlier, the cotton fabrics were spun to form the fabrics and dyed and was used by India for a long period of time. The skillset the people in India possessed in the manufacturing of cotton textile was so amazing that nobody in the world could match the skills and it spread even to the Mediterranean countries. The British East India Company is the one who started bringing the rare textile fabrics from India along with the techniques of manufacturing. Later, many countries were able to skillfully spin the cotton yarn and make the textile garments of spectacular quality.

At present textile manufacturing in India and production of the final garments have become an art. The demand for the finished garments is so huge that people are spending fortune to own one of the art. The expense and the profit from the textile industry is reaching the sky limit because of which India has readily started to import the textiles and finished goods from other countries in order to fulfill the demands of the people. Because, good clothes are the necessity of the man and it should be readily available to all.
