The car that hit him fled. He called cyclists to wear protections and become visible at night.

In principle, the worst was thought. It was 22 hours last Thursday, November 29 when the young Rodrigo was traveling home on his bicycle, along the street and suddenly he felt a strong blow.

He had been run over by a white car, with xenon lights, whose driver, seeing him lying on the ground, fled, instead of helping him.

Rodrigo is 20 years old and is an independent worker in carpentry and plumbing. He is also a firefighter for the Second Fire Company.

"I was going to my house on a bicycle when suddenly a car appears on street and he throws the car on me," he told Dario Pamlico.

"Thank God I did not have a fracture, I was only bruised inside my body, right side, and foot that I cannot step on well". Explain.

The young man was treated in Valdivia, although at first it was thought that his injuries were serious, after the scanner and x-rays, he was sent home with the obligation to remain at rest for a week.

Of the car that ran over it, it only remembers its white color and the xenon lights. Nothing else was known, but he does not hold a grudge and he only asks the drivers to drive with care, to respect the cyclists who are in unequal conditions in front of a motor vehicle and if they run over someone, to help them.

He admits that he did not wear a reflective vest with reflective tape, so he says that along with learning the lesson, he asks the cyclists to collaborate, making themselves more visible at night with lights and reflective clothing.
