What do you must have in the car?

If you are traveling by car abroad, we have very important messages for you. In many countries, there are completely different requirements for vehicle equipment. What is driving a road in Slovakia, what do you need to have a car, for example in Germany?

In Poland, no first aid kit is required. This requirement only applies to a lorry. But in Germany it is different - we heard from police officer talking simply about safety on the roads. We decided to develop the topic for you.

All cars must be equipped with first-aid equipment in Germany. Apparently, there are policemen who enforce this requirement with particular zeal and who are able to stick with the mandate... scissors.

But the inhabitants is closer to Slovakia, which is why we warn drivers that in Slovakia you must have reflective vests in your car. The vest has to be as much as the person traveling in the vehicle.

In the case of the aforementioned Germany and the Czech Republic, France, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, it is enough to have a vest for the driver in the car.

By the way, let's also remind that our Slovak neighbors from 1 January 2016 for exceeding the speed by 20km will pay 100 Euros of the ticket. When our speed is higher than allowed by 50 kilometers - regardless of whether we are going through a built-up area or not - the mandate can reach up to 800 Euros. If the case goes to court, for example due to refusal to accept a mandate - the penalty may increase up to 1 thousand Euros.

In all of the countries mentioned above, but also in Switzerland and Spain, we must have spare light bulbs. The French additionally require two .... breathalyzers. One is to be for the driver, the other for the passenger. The Spaniards will ask us for spare glass if we have a driving license that we can only wear glasses.

According to the saying: every country, it is the habit of similar information, "hooks" is very much. From these Slovak backyards, it is worth mentioning: a warning triangle, spare fuses, a set of spare bulbs, a hi vis vest with reflective material, a car jack, a key for dismantling car wheels, a spare wheel or a tow rope.

But let us not forget that just like in Poland, the road code is modified from time to time. Therefore, before embarking on a trip, it is worth checking what are the current regulations for the country in which we are going and all through which we will travel.
