Topshop, Top-What?

That's So New York- It seems that recently all of my posts have been about wannabe-unisex mens fashion labels and collections, yet I thought that I would post something a little more feminine-friendly, instead of making it look like I'm trying to turn every girl I come across into a Topman-crazed guy. Okay, so this post isn't far off my usual Topman personae as I haven't been flicking too far; instead I've changed that Topman.com into Topshop.com, yes they're both presented to us by the same company and both have the same aesthetic about them in regards to the fact that all they've been banging on about recently is vintage-wear, yet still two very similar brands are at the same time very different, and not just because one is for the average girl and one the festival-going guy. Okay, so I suppose that Topshop has a little more elegance about them, yet I have to say that whenever I pop into a store with friends it's straight to the sale racks rather than the latest trends; perhaps I should do a little Topshop hunting myself sometime, yet then again a guy wondering around Topshop alone would little a little, erm ... strange?

I've picked out a couple of my favorite items from some of Topshop's most recent collections, including Shanghai, Urban TravellerGypsy Rocker and Color Clash- all of which are perfectly fitting to this summers love of vintage, florals and over-the-top blocked colors, yet presented with that unique Topshop stamp. Okay, so I'll flick through the pieces in the same order as presented on the website; I mean, there's no need to complicate some already complicated collections now, is there? The Shanghai collection is what I would consider to be the epitome of Spring/Summer, presenting us with a wide selection of floral and patterned pieces which would look favorable in any light, even if it's a very limited light such as what we've had over here in England recently with the countless downpours and grey cloud fiestas.
