I’ve had a vendetta against pink ever since I had a crush on the colour in my teens. I was head over heels for hot pink and decided to paint everything in my bedroom in the shocking shade, and I mean everything, from the walls to my furniture. Not even the television was immune as I pimped up the modest black box by smearing it in pink paint. The bedspread was, you guessed it, pink decked out with pink cushions in the shape of huge lips and other inflatable pink accessories - the room was so bright you needed sunglasses when entering otherwise your head hurt. Suffice to say after two days of sleeping in the fluorescent hell-hole I despised the colour and have ever since.
