"Tulsi", what we call the "Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" fame Smriti Irani is our new Minister for Women & Child Development and Minister for Textiles. Yesterday, she took the oath of office as a Union Minister and she preferred Indian Traditional Attire which she always wears during her public appearances.
She was perfectly dressed in a Red Saree and was looking extremely confident. She won the Amethi constituency of Uttar Pradesh with a margin of 55000+ votes and defeated Congress President Rahul Gandhi. She was elected in the 17th Lok Sabha.
She had previously served as the HRD minister and then as the Minister for Information and Broadcasting under Narendra Modi's government.
