Most associate festive style with being bling-laden and ostentatious but that's not the case for everyone. Recent Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Bollywood saw glitz and glam take centre stage at the venue with many celebrities opting for sequin sarees and sparkling lehengas. Shraddha Kapoor may have been in the minority but that didn't make her any less fashionable. In fact, we think her understated ethnic style was the reason why her muted style won hearts with its subtlety.

The actress attended a Ganesh Chaturthi function held at the Ambani mansion in Mumbai last week. For the auspicious event where traditional Indian wear is a given, she picked simplicity to stand out. Shraddha wore an anarkali salwar kameez by the label Devnaagri. In a radiant ivory shade, the anarkali featured embroidered dori work over the sleeves and an embellished neckline. She draped a sheer organzadupatta across, which had self-designed embroidery and paired it with embroidered chanderi palazzo pants in the same shade. According to the official Devnaagri website, Shraddha's chanderi and silk organza suit comes at the price of Rs 36,500. Her accessories were a perfect match. Ms. Kapoor carried a white potli bag with heeled Kolhapuri sandals and dangling earrings, all in the same tone.

For makeup, Shraddha went radiant with luminous skin and glossy lips while her hair centre-parted and slicked back into an undo. Although subtle, her style spoke volumes about understated elegance during the festive season.
