Shoe n ‘outer covering for the foot’ as defined by the Collins English Dictionary is very misleading, for I have discovered this supposedly basic contraption has magical powers. An inanimate object that can transform a girl next door into a seductive temptress surely has some kind of supernatural force? Granted that object is in the shape of a shiny black stiletto with a signature Christian Louboutin red sole….
Any entity that has the power to make me feel prim & proper (my cute ballet-pumps) to some kind of feared, evil super-villain (my lace-up patent spiked shoe-boots) must be worshipped. Putting on a pair of shoes can literally change your identity. Slipping on my ballet pumps adds a bounce in my step and a huge smile on my face (might have something to do with not being crippled by six inch heels) or when I don my spiked shoe-boots…. well lets not talk about what happens when I wear them – they’ve already got me in trouble with the police…
