Sharp-Dressed Man: How to Adorn Yours Correctly

Figuring out what to wear yourself is sometimes a hassle, but now, you also have a guy who needs some assistance. Marrying current trends and his personal style can help you to give him a makeover that makes him proud to wear his new clothes.

Dress for the Event

Part of the problem might be that he doesn't know how to change his look depending upon where he is going. Sit down together; brainstorm a list of different places that he goes so that you can discuss what articles of clothing are most appropriate for each setting. Once you have a stock of new clothes, you can even make a list of which outfits work for which setting.

Pants that Fit

In recent decades, extremes have made their presence known in the style world when it comes to pants, and some of those fads have yet to fade. Instead of letting your guy order saggy, baggy jeans or too-tight khakis online, take him to a store where he can get his precise measurements. Doing so lets him know what size he actually is so that he can purchase pants accordingly.

T-shirt Tips

Chances are that your guy loves to wear t-shirts. The first step is identifying times when wearing t-shirts is appropriate. Some companies, like DHD Wear, know that the second step is to go through his collection together to find ones that are worn, frayed, dirty or faded. If he has an emotional attachment to the t-shits, tell him he can keep them but that they have to go in the pajama section of his closet.

Formal Wear

Purchasing a nice suit together is a smart idea because formal events can sometimes spring up without much notice. Going to a shop for a measurement is wise because you want to ensure that both the top and the bottom fit perfectly. Look for matching ties, cuff links and other accessories while you are so that he is entirely put together.

Shoes

Instead of grubbing around in beat up old sneakers all of the time, your guy can start to learn about the appropriate footwear for different settings. Suggest he uses those sneakers when he goes to the gym; find a nice new pair together that he can wear out. While you are at the store, look into dress shoes, boots, sandals and any other types that your guy needs.

Helping a man to dress himself does not have to be a prodigious task. When you divide the process into categories, you can have an easier time restocking his closet.
