Princess Charlene of Monaco - Royal Wedding

Last month, Charlene Wittstock became Princess Charlene of Monaco when she wed Prince Albert II of Monaco in a Civil Wedding Service. As the bride, Charlene wore a striking Armani wedding gown.

Following a civil ceremony on Friday, Princess Charlene of Monaco looked even more beautiful at the religious ceremony wearing a breath-taking Armani Privé wedding gown.

The off-white silk duchesse off-the-shoulder gown with a long train has a crossover detail on the front and back to form a second train. Floral embroidery cascades down the front of the gown which is accented with Swarovski crystals and mother of pearl teardrops in white and gold hues. A long off-white silk tulle veil was delicately placed on top of her chic chignon which had quite a magnificent diamond encrusted floral accent.

After dazzling everyone in an Giorgio Armani bridal gown, Charlene, 33, changed into an Armani Prive cocktail dress for the official reception and ball. A contrast to her silk wedding gown with five-metre long train, which included 40,000 Swarovski crystals, 20,000 mother of pearl tear drops, the evening's dress was fortunately a more lightweight affair.

The Princess opted for a none too formal look donning a custom Karl Lagerfeld powder-blue corseted chiffon strapless jumpsuit with pleated palazzo pants. She opted for both subtle jewels and make-up on her first day as Princess of Monaco. Later that evening Princess Charlene of Monaco and Prince Albert II of Monaco appeared onstage. The Princess didn’t wear her jacket on this occasion; instead she added a stunning gold Tabbah choker with pearl accents. It’s amazing how the removal of one piece and the addition of another can totally transform a look.
