I’ve added a new addiction to my life recently, it’s the Showtime smash hit ‘The Big C‘ with one of my favorite actresses of all time Laura Linney. It’s amajor addiction in my life so much that every Monday my life pauses abrief moment to really pay attention. Without giving to much awayLaura Linney’s charcter Cathy has, you got it, cancer and up to thispoint in her life she has played by the rules, done everything right.Instead of just giving up and waiting to exhale the last breathe she isgoing to say and do exactly what she wants. Watching this series itjust makes me realize it even more than I always have, that this littlesong and dance # here is fleeting. I’ve always thought when my numberis up I want to go out wearing Karl Lagerfeld and dying in the backseatof a Bentley. I know that sounds crazy but it’s the truth. I amalways aware of the fact that at any given moment my life can end and Ithink to myself everyday before I dress “if this is the last day do Iwant to be wearing this?” Not to sound like a snob or anything but whenI go I won’t be wearing clothes from The Gap that’s for sure and thereason for that is the fact that I shop at thrift stores and haveamassed a collection of recycled luxury brands so much that my closetrivals Saks.. You too can have all the luxury you ever wanted if youshopped at thrift stores. All I’m saying here is if you make every damnday the last day and I guarantee you’ll dress up more, you’ll walktaller and you’ll feel stronger inside. OMG I have blabbed long enoughhere is the ensemble I have put together… I found this gorgeous pinkcamisole by Betsey Johnson and this white terry cloth top by Michael Kors that both look spectacular with these brown French Connection slacks. Either top works brilliantly with these French Connectionslacks and you get 2 very different looks. All 3 items came out fromthe same thrifts store and cost me under $10, so for under 10 bucks Ihave 3 items and 2 looks and of course all 3 are luxury. If you haven’talready started shopping in thrift stores I urge you to give it a whirlso that you can start adding a little bit of luxury into your wardrobe. When you wear your finds you’ll walk taller and feel good all at thesame time, to me that’s luxury…. All items on my blog are for sale andbe sure to check out The Thrifters Boutique. Follow me daily on Twitter & Facebook and click on and enjoy my YouTube videos. Toodles for now. Daniel
