Personalized non-woven handbags are an economical choice for advertising. However, if you are not familiar with the terms "woven" and "non-woven", then choosing the right promotional handbag may be a bit confusing. Both materials can make great embossed handbags, but they are obviously different. Each type has unique benefits and characteristics.

"Woven" handbag

As the name suggests, the "woven" handbag is made of woven fabric. Of course, weaving is the process of connecting individual wires at right angles to each other. Technically speaking, the "warp" threads are arranged perpendicular to each other, and the "weft" threads pass through them. Doing this over and over again will produce a large piece of cloth.

There are various weaving styles. Most fabrics are made using one of the three main types of weaves: twill, satin, and plain weave. Each style has its own advantages, and certain types of weaving are more suitable for certain types of applications.

Any woven fabric has some basic characteristics in common. The woven fabric is flexible but not excessively stretched, so it can maintain its shape well. The woven fabric is relatively strong. These characteristics make them very suitable for machine washing, and anything made of woven cloth can stand well when washed.

"Non-woven" handbag

By now, you may have concluded that "non-woven" fabrics are fabrics produced by some method other than weaving. In fact, "nonwoven" fabrics can be produced mechanically, chemically or thermally (by heating). Like woven fabrics, non-woven fabrics are made of fibers. However, no matter what process is used, the fibers are entangled instead of woven together.

Non-woven fabrics have a wide range of uses and are widely used in medicine and other industries. Non-woven fabrics are commonly used in crafts because they have many of the same advantages as woven fabrics, but they are cheaper. In fact, its economical price is one of the reasons why it is increasingly used in the manufacture of handbags. Its biggest disadvantage is that the strength of non-woven fabrics is not as good as that of woven fabrics. It is also less durable and will not withstand washing like woven materials.

However, for applications such as handbags, non-woven fabrics are very suitable. Although not as strong as ordinary cloth, when placed in a handbag, it is still strong enough to carry medium-weight items such as books and groceries. And because it is much cheaper than woven cloth, it is more affordable for advertisers to use. In fact, some of the personalized non-woven tote bags we carry at KCMM are comparable in price to custom-made plastic shopping bags, and are a better alternative to plastic bags, especially for gifts at events and trade shows. Our promotional non-woven tote bags start at less than US$1 each, and luxury designs are up to around US$5 each, including your embossed logo.
