When you’re packing for a girls trip away, it can be hard trying to decide what to pack. This can be made even more difficult when you can only take hand luggage, so you’re limited on packing space. You want to look and feel your best whilst you’re on holiday, so being smart with what you pack is essential. Here are some of the essentials you will need to pack for your girls trip!

Clothing

When you’re going away with your friends, you want to have enough outfits so that you can look your best whatever the occasion. You should aim to take 2 to 3 tops and 2 pairs of shorts or jeans, so that you can mix and match the individual items to create different outfits. A pair of comfortable sandals or shoes for the day is essential, particularly if you are out and about. For the evening, pack a couple of dresses and a pair of shoes that will go with them. Try to only take one jacket (depending on the weather where you are going, of course!) and wear this on the way there to save on packing space. If you’re lucky enough to be going on a beach getaway, then don’t forget that you’ll need a couple of changes of swimwear and a cover-up for you to wear around the pool or on the beach.

After a long day of sightseeing or relaxing by the pool, you’re going to need something comfortable to chill out in in the evening or in-between parties. Pack a set of women’s loungewear or some comfy pyjamas to get changed into once you return to your accommodation.

Travelling Essentials

No matter where your destination is, there are a few absolute essentials that you will need to pack to ensure that your trip runs as smoothly as possible:

• Driving License
• Your travel/health insurance information
• Passport
• Bank cards and cash (both English and the currency of where you are heading)
• Details of where you are staying, car hire and any additional extras that you have booked, such as trips or room extras
• Boarding cards and plane tickets (have a duplicate copy kept in another part of your luggage, just in case)

Be sure to highlight any important information that you may need in a hurry, such as phone numbers and email addresses and give a family member or friend a copy to keep at home.

Toiletries
Spare packing space is a luxury when you’re flying with hand luggage only, so to save on vital space split the toiletries between you and your friends. You won’t need to pack multiples of the same items if you are only going away for a weekend break. For example, if someone was to take toothpaste and floss, then someone else should take the shampoo and conditioner and so on. You can save a lot of space by packing this way.

For makeup and cosmetics, remember that there are very strict liquid allowances in place when you fly. You will not need to take every item in your makeup bag, but lip balm and mascara are good essentials to pack.
