One more reason why i love Indonesia's traditional fabric, especially BATIK. As we know, print is one of the hottest trend for this year. Wanna prove?

Just look Dries Van Noten's Spring Summer 2010. This fashion brand from Belgia's inspiration is non other than INDONESIA's BATIK. How cool is that??!! Jusuf Kalla (JK), Indonesia's former vice president must be so proud!! Since 5 years ago, he has been trying so hard to make Indonesian to be proud of their own tekstil/tradition garment, like Batik. In fact, he made every goverment officer to wear Batik/tradition every friday. It even getting stronger till this day. No wonder, since october 2009, Batik was decided as Indonesia Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

Another thing that makes even better, when you are in Indonesia, you are in the heaven of pattern (Batik). Every region has its own pattern. And especially for Batik, we can find almost everywhere here. And get this, the price range and type of Batik are so wide. From Solo's Batik to Pekalongan's Batik, from $5 - $ 250, how crazy is that?? Or you can check out view Indonesia's Batik brands, such as alure (allurebatik.com), Danar Hadi Batik (danarhadibatik.com), and Batik Keris (batikkeris.co.id).

So if u r planning to visit Indonesia, dont forget to buy Indonesia's Batik. It must have item this year!!
