New York fashion week-S/S/2011:by Lolita

Having done various shows during the New York fashion week S/S 2011, the owner of the longest legs of our agency – model Lolita (Figaro-BLUE), is exited to share with some of her vivid impressions and memories from this fashion mega event, which we in turn, would like to share with you…
“… New York fashion week starts the worldwide calendar of Fashion Weeks around the world, straight away followed by Fashion Weeks in London, Milan and Paris.
Everything begins the week before the main event. It is almost impossible to see an ordinary passerby among the crowds of models. There are some many beautiful faces!
Any young man would love to be in such a place, and any model would love to come to this city, as everything starts here: if you made it here, you will make it anywhere!
You will have about 20 castings a day and you have to be on each of them, regardless of the fact that there is a queue of around 50 models or more ahead of you on each such casting!
As always, from many hundreds, the client chooses just dozen of girls…
Thanks to my parents for my looks and thanks to my mom for my name. I received the compliments from nearly every second person on the castings because of my name and at the end became a bit tired to answer the question: “Is this your real name?”, – which actually helped me to get noticed more among the clients!
Finally, the big day, that the whole fashion world was expecting with anticipation- have started!
One of the first to start the Fashion day were the designers from “ Project Runway” show hosted by celebrity super model – Heidi Clum.
Following, came other designers showing their wonderful collections during the week:
Carolina Herrera,
Oscar de la Renta,
BCBGMAXAZRIA,
Christian Siriano,
Farah Angsana,
Tadashi Shoji
And these are just a few names…
90th came back to New York Fashion Week… The freedom absolutely has captured and stayed to reign on the catwalk!
Traditional styles were reborn and received their second fashion breath… The Spring of 2011 is considered to become the most feminine time of the year.
The fabulous collection of famous singer turned designer Gwen Stefani- L.A.M.B. which was on show in the Lincoln centre, rightfully brought the Fashion Week with its previous 300 show collections, which were on show for more than 8 days, to a worthy wonderful close…”
We hope you enjoyed reading about Lolita’s impressions.
