2018 has already been an extremely exciting year for fashion and it is set to only get bigger as dive further in. So, what can you expect to be big in the back end of the year 2018?
1980s
If you hadn’t noticed, the 1980s are back in a big way. From movies made in homage to the period - such as Ready Player One - to clothes our parents wore, with a dash of 80s music revival. It’s safe to say that a whole new generation is now embracing the weird and wonderful elements of this bygone era.
Streetwear
Urban is the name of the game in 2018. Which means that the rise of streetwear clothing has well and truly come into full swing.
Trench Coats
No longer a dubious item to have in your wardrobe, the trench coat is making an interesting come back in 2018. And not only the type of trench coat you see on detectives on television. In fact, there is even a trench coat which has been specifically designed to pair with a bikini - talk about breaking the mould!
Suits
I know, I know; when did suits ever go out of fashion? Well, these aren’t the kind of suits that your dad will be wearing. In fact, these suits more female-focused. Girl power is well and truly in style right now, which means there has been a flush of amazing suits in order to symbolise this in everyday life (suits which are perfect for work and play).
Bum Bags
Remember this very special element of the 1990s? Your dad wore them, your grandad probably wore them and heck you might have even had one to hold your Nintendo Colour. That’s right, the bum bag is making an official comeback. Perfect for holding your purse, accessories and even snacks in case you feel a little peckish when out and about.
At the end of the day, fashion is ever evolving and who knows what will reign supreme by the end of close in 2018. But, we can anticipate some of these amazing styles and even wear one or two! Fingers crossed anyway.
