Marisa Kenson, founder of the Fashion Destination Group and CEO of Fashion Axiom, showcased both her contemporary and red carpet collections at the 2012 Summer Extravagaza fashion show on June 9th at the St. Regis Resort in Orange County. This was one of many events that the Fashion Destination Group puts on to bring the fashion community together.  Events like this help discover new designers as well as promote both emerging and established brands.

The inspiration for Marisa’s summer contemporary collection is the town of Saint Tropez on the French Riviera. The beautiful prints and designs of the clothing are flattering on any woman and can be worn to the beach or a fashion show. Marisa is also the designer of the patent pending “Invisible Belt Dress.” The build in belt slims a woman’s waist while the flowing fabric creates an elegant look to be worn day or night.  With such a gorgeous and countouring design, it is not difficult to see why her dresses are sought after by celebrities such as Katy Perry and Nicole Scherzinger.  When asked which three words describe her summer clothing line the best, Marisa stated: “Sexy, chic, and elegant.” Each item makes a statement and can be worn to a variety of occasions.

That evening at the LUXE fashion show in the resort’s ballroom, spectators were in awe of the Marisa Kenson Red Carpet collection. The dresses were breathtaking and a round of applause followed many of her designs. These dresses strike sheer elegance while retaining a uniqness unlike any designer.

Marisa has been in the fashion business for over 27 years and currently holds the position of Design Director for PT Sainath, one of the largest denim producers in the world.  She has also cofounded the charity Fashion Gives. We look forward to seeing what she does next!
