Make your shorts work at the office

June has been an incredible month for The Style Hunter...We are only 9 days into the month and I'm already meeting fabulous designers, getting featured on Rue La La's Facebook page, writing for Examiner.com and yesterday we reached 201 fans!! Thank you hunters!! You keep me excited and motivated to go on with the hunt!!To celebrate all this exciting achievements, I want to share you the styling tips that were featured on Rue La La's facebook page on how to style shorts for the work place ... plus we've been doing some Capoeira and want to show some leg.Shorts are super in right now and with temperatures quickly rising over 100 degrees, they are a total need too. I'm sorry to say I'm not part of the lucky ones who can wear them to work... I have to stick with the classic "business casual" (total snooze) But that doesn't mean I don't know how to rock the shorts for work...I am The Style Hunter after all, right?...hahaha... ok, so this is what I would do if I could wear shorts to work:Let’s take it from the top: I like to wear my shorts with a sleeveless blouse that has ruffles on the front, it is fresh for summer and alsogives you a romantic and girly look. To make it more work appropriate, throw a cardigan on top or maybe even a cute jacket...military is super hot this seasonPump it up!: I am a total Stiletto addict, so I like to pair my shorts with a nude Christian Louboutin Double Platform Pump or a Manolo Blahnik Cutout Lace-Up Bootie (mix the innocent girl in ruffles with your inner wild cat...grrrr) We don't want to attract perverts at the office, so to make it work appropriate tone it down with some cute animal print flats like Fendi's Leopard-Painted Flat (switch the wild cat for a kitty) or a metallic embellished one like Miu Miu's Woven Ballerina Flat...super hot and will also work for Fall (it is all about planning ladies)Work the bag: I adore clutches, especially the ones that have a chain...super versatile and practical. So to finish the look take a clutch like Tory Burch's Bombe Reva Clutch and wear it with the chain to work (keeps for hands free so you can hold your Low Fat Latte with one hand and follow The Style Hunter on your smart phone with the other) and then when it’s time to clock out, take the chain off and voila you have a new bag...use it to hail a cab cuz with those pumps you are not gonna get too far.Seal the deal with fab locks: I don't know about you, but my hair goes into complete strike when I'm at the office… but no biggie… I have found the style holds it together during the day and lets it all out at night...grrr. It is very simple, all you have to do is pull it back in a simple and cute bun, I have bangs so I like to wear them to the side or you could also pin them back for a cleaner look. On your way out to hail a cab to the party, take the bun off, tease the hair to add volume and set the look with your mini can of hair spray (yes...I have one of those, right next to the super glue and the double face tape)I have to go now, I just realized I'm running low on hair spray and I'm going to a happy hour after work...oh good...I found my back-up can.Stay beautiful!!!XOXOThe Style Hunter
