We have come up with something known as know your brand. Its very important to know what bag you own, the specifications of the brand, and very importantly how to distinguish it from the fake ones. In today”s world, where made in china are the most read three lettered words, you need to most certainly know your brand.

Louis Vuitton is the world’s most valuable luxury brand and is a division of LVMH. Its products include leather goods, handbags,trunks, shoes, watches, jewelry and accessories. Most of these are adorned with the LV monogram.
The brand value right now is at a about 28.4 billion dollars.
- No attached tag. Most official Louis Vuitton purses do not have the tag attached. Instead, the tag is separate, often slid into a pocket of the purse. Be especially wary of tags that look cheap and are attached with little more than a thin piece of string. Louis Vuitton bags are class apart and these cheap tags don’t do them well.
- The interior lining. Most” made in china ” as we like to call them use cheap plastic or suede to line their bags. A real Louis Vuitton bag may be lined with a variety of textiles, depending on the specific design, but most are lined with canvas, fine micro monogram textile, cross-grain leather, polyester, or microfiber suede.There are five fine stitches on the top of leather tab that the handle is attached to in a real LV Speedy. - Be wary of bags that have plastic wrapped around the handles. The oxidizing natural cowhide leather does not need this protective plastic, and bags that come with that plastic might be fakes. Be very careful and inspect carefully.
- Look at any clasps or other hardware. Legitimate bags use brass or gold metal, but many fakes use plastic with a layer of gold paint. Check thoroughly the quality and try scrapping of a the metal. If any paint at all comes out, you know you’ve got yourself a case of the “MADE IN CHINA”.
- Check that “Made in” label. Originally, authentic Louis Vuitton bags were only made in France. For the past several decades, however, the company has also produced bags in the United States, Spain, Germany, and Italy. But nowhere else. Even the ” made in India” or the “made in Bangladesh” are as fake as the “MADE IN CHINA”. This is no time to show you’re love towards your country!
- Know your bag. Even though there are many similarities from bag to bag, no two designs are exactly alike. Research what type of lining, feet, and base, among other details, a particular style of bag should have. Check on the company’s website or ask your nearest boutique. Do your homework!
- Tilted pattern. Legitimate bags have careful, even patterns that are well matched and proportionate. A bag with a tilted pattern that does not match up with itself is likely to be a fake.The Louis Vuitton Monogram should be symmetrical from side to side. In any Louis Vuitton zippered bag, you will find the same icon as in the other side of the zipper positioned in symmetrically exact on both sides
- Absolutely no ”wholesale list” or “closeout liquidation.“ Louis Vuitton does not discount, have outlets, or do wholesale. Any seller that claims otherwise is not to be trusted.
- Know your seller. Know your seller better than you know yourself. Put your stalking abilities to use and find out the sellers credentials. If you smell something fishy, run. You don’t want to waste a fortune buying a “MADE IN CHINA” and making this man richer than he is supposed to be.
