LUX-Contest: Design with Creative Genius, Donald J. Pliner and Make a Difference

With all the recent talk lately of fashionably giving back, we thought you’d love to hear what one of our FAV shoe designers is up too!‘Design with Donald: Create a shoe to support peace’ project, is an opportunity for you to tap into your creative genius and design with one of the best, Donald J. Pliner.Pliner, a visionary designer with an altruistic streak, aims to make a difference through the use of creative fashion! Known for his innovative styles and eye for LUX footwear, this new campaign could have you channeling talent you never knew existed!The design contest aims to support Pliner’s own foundation, Peace for Children Foundation.“There are millions of kids all over the world and right here in America, that are in need of assistance and hopefully we will, through this foundation, make a difference in lives that will make a difference in the world.” —Peace for Children Organization official siteParticipants will be asked to submit a design based on the ‘peace’ theme. The grand prizewinner will be gifted $2,000 and their design will be showcased in the Donald J. Pliner Fall 2010 collection.
