How to Build a Great Designer Clothing Wardrobe for A fraction of the original Cost!!!

Every woman would love to be able to have a complete wardrobe consisting of Versace tops, Escada pants, Akris jackets, and tops by Celine and Pucci, and perhaps dresses by Diane von Furstenberg or MaxMara or Vivienne Tam. You get the idea. A designer wardrobe gives a woman the ability to pick out just the right outfit for the occasion and feel great knowing that she will look great! You just can’t rave enough about having a great wardrobe. Expensive? Maybe, but not really if you do what your mother always told you and you "shop around".

Now, some women might say why not buy at a discount retailer similar to T.J.Maxx or Ross? Trust me, it’s not the same thing. Yes, a woman can look great in a wardrobe emanating from the depths of Macy’s or Nordstrom or Bloomingdales, but when push comes to shove a wardrobe with Armani, Versace, or similar designer labels will beat all mass merchandisers. Most women know this--it’s in their genes. The question is, how can one afford pants that retail in the high-end shops for $900 or a jacket for $1300 or a top for $750? It can be stressful to realize that quality is expensive!

Here is my advice. Look closely at almost all designer clothing. It is well made, very stylish, fits great, and people just know you are wearing something special. When they compliment you feel free to say with a certain air "It’s a Versace." Every woman knows the warm glow of satisfaction at that moment. So, how can you have more of those special moments when you receive a compliment? You can build your wardrobe with designer clothing, over time, at pennies on the dollar. Here is what you do.

Step one: Do a little homework on the web. Do searches on the Internet for designer clothing, vintage clothing, designer vintage clothing, and pre-owned designer clothing and you will discover there are literally dozens of outlets for designer clothing. Now, understand I am talking about the very high-end clothing. After seaching, often referred to as "due diligence" by those in the business area, visit the sites you find. One of my favorites is www.wardrobetrailer.com . Look for sites that discount their pieces. Yes, the piece will probably be pre-owned but so what? Perhaps the piece you find online is, for example, a top by Celine that was probably worn by a woman CEO or model or a celebrity on maybe two or three occasions. It very well may be a piece of designer clothing having no wear whatsoever. When sold at retail the top, shall we say, was purchased for $850. You can have that very same top for .35 cents on the dollar. Don’t believe me? Simply get your calculator and multiply $850 by .35 % and you get $297.50. Some vendors, including my favorite fashion site, will ship throughout America for free. Most women can afford, over a year’s time, to buy, say, two designer tops and one pair of pants for less than the pants would cost if they went and purchased them at full retail. The Internet is your fashion friend.

Step two: Buy two or three or four pieces a year. In five years your wardrobe closet (or "trailer" as they say in showbiz) will have fifteen or twenty designer pieces. You will be on your way to a fantastic wardrobe.

Step Three: If you begin to implement this step, you probably have purchased a few vintage pieces of designer clothing online and maybe you have also expanded your purchasing to designer shoes and bags for pennies on the dollar too! In ten years, your closet will probably be filled with tops by Versace, Pucci, Akris, Armani, and so on. Your wardrobe will be like the biblical cup that is full and spilling over. You will have arrived! Every time you step out of your front door you will exude confidence and style!

When I was a young man just starting out my father told me "If you can’t afford an expensive suit make sure you wear an expensive tie with it." Start small and build on it. Common sense. Start now. Bargain pricing is available for virtually one of a kind pieces.

Oh, but what about size? Yes, of course you will need to measure yourself. Read what the site www.wardrobetrailer.com says about size. Also, every woman should take the time to work with a tailor now and then. Expert tailoring by your local tailor is not expensive. His skills (or hers) can make the designer dress fit you like the proverbial glove.

Oh, but it isn’t new! Yes, the piece you are lusting after has been worn--maybe once or twice or, God forbid, maybe even three times. But, on your budget you can either break the bank and buy retail, or be smart and invest for pennies on the dollar!

Oh, maybe I won’t be able to return it. It is true you might not be able to return clothing that is bought online, but, if you were able to return the clothing you bought, the prices would be way higher and about the same as buying retail.

Try something new! Use the Internet and buy for pennies on the dollar great designer label clothing or accessories for up to 80% off of retail. It is a great thing to do. Once you wear that MaxMara dress you only have to wait until you get that stranger or friend to compliment you! Then, with that lovely smile you have you can say, "It’s a MaxMara."
