Q: I am an amateur (artistic – bespoke) Milliner, holding my first show, a private viewing and drinks reception for fashion editors, stylists and small boutiques.
There are so many talented designers doing shows, what would bring industry people to mine? What would make my invites stand out?
A: The best way to bring industry people to your event is through personal relationships with them, which is why a lot of people who lack these hire PR companies, to bring these people on
board. If you don’t have the budget for PR, you need to lure the buyers
and press through outstanding imagery and a stand out invitation.
Print invitations are always a little tricky. On one hand, most people receive invitations through email these days and printing an invitation is costly. However that might be an opportunity for you to
stand out, if your invitation is really unique.
