Hermès Spring/Summer 2011

8842912871?profile=originalThat's So New YorkWhen looking at the Hermes Spring/Summer 2011 collection, we can instantly note the return of a simple, very recognizable and consistent within itself style. Unlike many Spring/Summer collections, favoring bright and gaudy colors, floral and definitely quirky prints, in this collection Hermes propose only few colors ranging from brown suede, white dirt, black and beige. The clothes are characterized by simple and classic cuts, the jackets are stylish and suitable for any occasion, the pants are soft and comfortable, occasionally adorned with small round-skin belts clinging to the figure as roots. Most of the outfit is completed by a mast-accessory that can not fail in our summer wardrobe: the broad-brimmed hard hat that is stylish and functional, and enhances the clothing thoroughly. The style is rigorous, leaving no room for stand-out extravagancy, resembling the caw-girl style revisited in a chic yet elegant way. I think it's a very well-designed collection, as each element is necessary and in the right place, without being a subordinate or a primary garment. Each element needs the remaining ones that make up the outfit in a relationship of continuity and homogeneity. See More: Hermes - Contributor Maria Clelia Scuteri
