Exotic Regrets

8842871275?profile=originalThat's So New York - The Japanese jewelry designer Aoi Kotsuhiroi notorious for his hauntingly evocative jewelry and conceptual artistic pieces unveiled the first chapter of his new collection, Exotic Regrets on 7th February. He says, “Exotic Regrets is a dance of the female muscles, tensed up as an ultimate stake. In the enclosure of the secret, ritual bodies and codes split the instant. Parallel heels are instruments of nudity as a trap in tension. The rest remains to be done, other rituals in balance.” The Dawn Ritual feet objects are made of urushi (lacquer tree sap) covered horns, cherry tree and leather. The feet objects are jet black and 7.7” high. These fang-like foot bindings anchor the wearer in with leather laces and skin-tight lambskin thigh-highs Kotsuhiroi aesthetic is inimitable and the poetic collections intricately weave dark yet dreamy inspirations with natural materials.

The Lost Sound Finger Piece (ring) is made with “scratched” urushi lacquered horn, antique roman 24k gold beads (circa 100-400 ad); urushi lacquered silk threads, human hair and pit-fired porcelain skulls. Mysterious and alluring mysticism indeed. “I pick the flowers of the soul… therefore sometimes my hands get dirty.” – Aoi Kotsuhiroi - Contributor Menaka Premkumar
