Every time I pillage Byblos from the thrift stores it’s like having a 80′s flashback. In the early 80′s I was living in Dallas and a had friends that worked at Neiman Marcus & Stanley Korshak and they both carried Byblos and it was wonderful then as it’s wonderful and breathtaking now. Byblos is a ready to wear brand that unites past & future in a young contemporary soul. Born in 1973, expressing its infancy in the creative genius of Gianni Versace and of 2006 under the artistic direction of Manuel Facchini. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this quote from Manuel Facchini “I don’t follow trends, I follow instincts”….. I LOVE it when I hear a designer say that because in my opinion anyone that follows ‘trends’ is a sheep not a lion. These vintage wool culottes by Byblos are as contemporary today as when they were created, it’s timeless not trendy. I love this vintage cotton Escada top too, it’s plays so nicely with this Byblos piece. I say throw on your favorite pair of Stella McCartney flats and off you go into the wild wild west….
