Coco & Breezy

That's So New YorkThis post has been a long time coming, as unisex eyewear label Coco & Breezy have been a label which I have personally admired since I first came across them a number of months ago. The label was founded by a pair of 20-year-old identical twin accessory designers from Minneapolis, Minnesota and is of huge popularity among the underground scene. The designers are currently based in Brooklyn, New York and have also recently expanded their label from what use to be eyewear alone into a broad collection of what they describe as Wearable Art and also most recently, a C&&B for Kids collection of Coco & Breezyaccessories. The promotion for the label has been phenomenal since their move to New York in 2009 as they were said to have taken the city by storm as celebrities including the likes of Kelly Osbourne, Serena Williams and Nicki Minaj have been caught wearing Coco & Breezy, followed by a handful of features in multiple pieces of written media, including the likes of The New York Times, Vogue Italia and Paper Magazine.

In my opinion, the label is extremely urban orientated, yet at the same time focuses on a futuristic concept as both designers throw in the use of various metals and studded decorations, along with a mix of both simple and geometric shapes. Let's just say, if you paired various Coco & Breezy pieces with that of Rad Hourani, and on that note any leather or punk orientated outfit, you would most probably be along the right lines in terms of what fits in with the aesthetic of theCoco & Breezy label. Now, onto the Wearable Art ...

I'm personally a huge fan of the clear Artch bracelet and the Eclipse Ring, followed by pretty much every pair of glasses, including the
Black Liners collection which included a number of pieces which initially attracted me to the label.
On that note, if anyone knows where I can get one of them supposedly rubber mac-type jackets (Image 5) which the boy on the left is wearing, be sure to let me know! (Believe me, by the looks of the English weather so far this Summer, I think that I'm going to be needing it!)
