ClothingModel.net Adds Small Fee for New Members

After several years of providing a free online fashion modeling portfolio service, the Apparel Search Company has decided to add a small fee for new members. It is important to note that Existing members as of June 25, 2009 have been granted a free listing until 2015 (as long as they meet standards). After 2015, they will need to pay the small yearly fee like the new members. Reason for Small Fee: The fact of the matter is that Apparel Search is NOT trying to make a few dollars to cover the expense of managing the site. The actual purpose of the fee is to try and reduce potential spam on the system. Apparel Search has learned the hard way that when offering a free service, too many people try to post profiles. Many of which have absolutely no place in the modeling industry... Cost : The cost is currently set at $15. for a Three Year period ($5.00 per year). In our opinion, if a model is serious about the business they will certainly be able to invest five dollars for a full year. And at the same time, five dollars may be high enough to keep a spamer from trying to add a non-valid listing.
