Children's warning vests

The Taferlklassler the elementary schools in Kobersdorf and Oberpetersdorf were given by Infrastructure Councilor Heinrich Dorner and ARBÖ President Peter Rezar to school start reflective children's warning vests.

"The highest possible safety on the road - this is very important in Burgenland," emphasized the State Council on the visit of the two schools in the district of Oberpullendorf. "Special attention is paid to the 'weakest' road users, our children. The ARBÖ campaign "Safe at school" ensures that especially the smallest children can safely come to school. "Wearing reflective safety vests makes the Taferlklassler more visible and drivers' attention is increased. "I thank the ARBÖ for this initiative. This is an important contribution to further improving the safety of the school route for our students," said Dorner.

"Motorists need to pay close attention to the youngest road users in the fall and the dark season, and to drive carefully, carefully and slowly near schools - and also kindergartens - so that the children are not endangered," demanded ARBÖ President Rezar.

Every year, ARBÖ Burgenland invests more than 7,000 euros in the "Safe to School" campaign. Around 3,000 safety vests with reflective tapes are distributed at elementary schools throughout Burgenland. "This is an important contribution of the ARBÖ Burgenland so that nothing happens to our little ones on their way to school," concluded the ARBÖ President.
