Aimee Song is known for her extremely successful fashion blog, but she’s now officially stepping onto the beauty scene. Cosmetics brand Laura Mercier announced yesterday on Instagram that Aimee would be representing them as their new brand ambassador. Aimee will actually be the brand’s first digital influencer and will be working with them under contract for a full year.

She spoke to WWD about how this is different than any deal she’s ever been a part of. “It’s the biggest deal ever — and it’s not just [the money]. It’s the deepest relationship I’ve ever had with a brand. Even though I continue to work with [many] of the same brands — it’s never been, ‘I’ll work with you for a year.’ That’s never happened to me,” she said. According to WWD, Aimee will be responsible for posting Laura Mercier content on her blog songofstyle.com, promoting the brand to her millions of followers, and also attending events on the brand’s behalf.

Beauty brands have been recruiting fashion bloggers to represent them more and more as of late. Aimee now joins fellow bloggers who have incorporated beauty into their personal brands as well as their original fashion and lifestyle content. Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad has worked with YSL Beauty, Chanel, Dior, and Pantene. Kristina Bazan of Kayture scored a rumored $1 million deal with L’Oreal, and Arielle Nachmani of Something Navy is partnered with Tresemmé.

While Aimee’s readers obviously love seeing her OOTD photos gracing their feeds, we’re hoping that a makeup tutorial is on the way.
