At the meeting, motorcyclists stated that there is no specific legislation for the service, so they cannot be treated as motorcyclists. A new meeting was scheduled, on August 5, to study a regulation complementary to Law 10.220 / 2011, which provides for the exercise of paid transport activity or linked to the work of small loads on motorcycles, scooters or motorized tricycle. The legislation is in force in Belo Horizonte.

Using a note, the Municipal Secretariat of Security and Prevention stated that enforcement was strengthened in Belo Horizonte. "The Municipal Guard has been conducting preventive and blitz actions throughout the city to oversee the performance of motorcyclists. The inspection actions are based on the resolution of the National Traffic Council", informed the text. In the actions, the guards are analyzing the security requirements for the paid transportation of cargo, as established by the legislation.

These are requirements for both motorcycles and drivers. For vehicles, they must be registered in the rental category and must have red license plates. It must also have a leg and motor protection device, sharp line antennas, a retro-reflective chest (or reflective fabric backpack). In addition to passing semi-annual inspection. As for drivers, they must be over 21 years of age, qualified for at least two years in category A, have a compulsory motorbike course and wear a safety vest with retro-reflective devices.

Bill 490/80 that regulates transport by applications in Belo Horizonte is already in the hands of Mayor Alexandre Kalil (PSD). The new text, approved by the councilors on July 9, will be approved or not by the municipal administrator. Even so, after a long soap opera with fights and controversy, the situation may end in court. This is due to points in the matter that are not unanimous among the councilmen. These include shared travel and limiting races for more than four passengers, which are now prohibited by law.
