Spice Girl, Footbalers Wife, Style Icon and now a designer?
One of the highlights of this years NY Fashion Week definitely was Victoria Beckham’s presentation of her new spring 2011 collection andthe launch of her new collection of bags!
Being initially dismissed as another ‘wannabe celebrity designer’ by many people of the industry, Mrs Beckham has proven that she’s not onlya one hit wonder with some sense of style but a really talented andserious designer.
Not only celebrities like Cameron Diaz fell in love with her beautiful,very feminine dresses,simple yet sophisticated,elegant andwearable.
Celeb super stylist Rachel Zoe said ‘I want everything of her new collection’ and Designer Brian Atwood tweeted ‘ Another gorgeouscollection,beautiful!!’ after the show.
She also took good credits for her new bag collection which premiered at Fashion Week. ‘ A Beckham can replace a Birkin’ Victoriaannounced during the show….well,we’ll see….but in any case her bags areway more affordable than those of Hermès. You can get a Beckham for1200,- Euro a Birkin starts at 4300,- Euro…
Victoria herself said that she is ‘just at the beginning of her career as a designer’ and ‘still has a lot to learn and a long way togo’ but she’s definitely on the right way!!!
