Even is fashion, what comes around goes again. If you save your favorite clothes, they just might come back into style again. It may be 20 or 30 years later and your clothes might not fit quite the same, but never-the-less, they will likely be in vogue once again eventually. Here are 8 fashion trends then and now:

This staple of any 1980’s closet is new again with these acid wash shorts. The acid wash treatment, also called “snow wash” now gives these jeans shorts the signature tattered look that is much lighter than regular jeans.
2. Jelly Sandals:

Jelly sandals are made of a clear or see through plastic that resembles jelly or gelatin. They were very popular with girls in the 1990’s. Probably originally intended for the pool or beach, they were worn much more often as a casual style shoe.
3. Track Pants / Track Suits:

As you can see, the newest styles of track pants are much sleeker than the original style in the 1980’s. Here they are paired with high heels instead of sneakers for a fancier yet casual life.
4. Off-the-Shoulder Shirts:

Off the shoulder shirts were fun and flirty then and they still are now. After this movie came out in 1983, just about every girl donned off the shoulder shirts and leg warmers before leaving the house. You can be thankful that leg warmers haven’t made a trendy comeback.
5.Parachute or Harem Pants

MC Hammer might single handedly be responsible for the fad that made so many people look ridiculous in the 80’s. The shimmering pants with extra baggy dropped crotch were almost as popular as his music during this time.

Luckily the new incarnation of this style is not as over-the-top as MC Hammer was. The stream lined look can be dressed up with high heels or dressed down with sneakers or sandals. These versatile pants can be very comfortable and suitable for so many different occasions.

This comeback might have the television show Mad Men to thank, but either way, this tidy, pressed style is a fun fashion to see again.
7. Plaid Grunge Shirts

Just about every popular Grunge Band in the 90’s wore plaid. It is like the unofficial “uniform” for 90’s Grunge Music.

The music from the 90’s is just as popular as ever and so are those plaid shirts. The new incarnation of the trend has them brighter and baggier. Wear an oversized shirt as a dress or go for the layered look. Casual or sassy; who knew that plaid could be such a versatile piece of your wardrobe?
8. Crop Tops
