Plait me Happy

Ok so it’s a little old-school boho Sienna, but I am still loving fish plaits. Although I fear the look has become a wee-bit LA à mon avis. If Lauren Conrad and Nicole Richie sport a style, its dishevelled roots can become a tad try hard. That’s not to say the look doesn’t still work in a modern context, although just don’t overdo the harem pants and gladiator sandals, otherwise it just screams trend tart. Side plaits look super cute, preferably with honey skin and a freckly nose, the scruffier the better I think, again don’t just hop on the Rayban and aviator shade bandwagon, it’s just too obvious. Let’s face it the essence of a plait is, tousled, casual, and effortless, not neat and composed. Disclaimer: A Heidi plait, looks like a Swedish dairy girl and avoid the Princess Leah trap.
