Located in the heart of the fashion district, we are a luxury couture design company looking for interns to start immediately. Interns have the opportunity to get hands on design experience, learn the ins and outs of the fashion industry, and build many contacts. Maggie Norris Couture has an exciting year ahead with many high profile events, projects, and opportunities for aspiring interns. We need committed and ambitious interns that want to get real life experience working for a couture house.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Intern will meet all the team members and learn their roles within the organization, will learn how each role is vital to the overall success of the company.

Learn the communication system used by Maggie Norris Couture

Attend Photo Shoots as applicable

Learn appropriate way to communicate with those on a lateral level, as well as those on a horizontal level

Intern will learn the background history of MNC, learn about the clients, as well as the different areas of the company

Learn how styling for Photo Shoots works

Will sit in on session about the design process to gain an overall prospective of the process

Attend various Fashion Exhibits, Museums and Events

Will conduct market research to learn about the new trends and record information

Will learn about the different material available and how the materials affect the overall pieces

Will assist designer by accompanying them in viewing/selecting each of the fabrics, will learn how to identify them

Learn about the process of dealing with Couture Pieces and how they are unique

Learn how to ensure that pieces are tailored to the proper specifications needed .... And much more

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

Interns may start as soon as possible and hours are flexible. Must, commit to schedule!

Interns must be extremely professional, personable, dependable, and determined, you will be working with high profile clientele. 

**Please note this is a non compensated internship, commission based only but we do offer school credit if applicable**
