4th Annual ASU Fashion Show in San Diego, CA

The San Diego State University Afrikan Student Union (ASU) Fashion Show Committee would like to invite you to the 4th AnnualASU Fashion Show on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. This year’s theme is “City Lights:Are you ready to be seen?”

The 2010 ASU Fashion Show features designers from San Diego and Los Angeles, including CAN Clothing, Wealth & Power,and Raw Water. The designers range from aspiring levels to establishedprofessionals, each with a different style and theme. CAN Clothing, a SanDiego-based company, and Los Angeles-based Raw Water offer an urban vibe totheir clothing selections. On the list of designers are two SDSU students,Jamilah Shabazz, representing clothes with an African theme, and Jeridel Bankswhose designs incorporate Asian-inspired motifs.

Although the event is a fashion show, it does more than showcase fashionable clothing. It gives participating models an opportunity toshine for one night. The models in the show are made up of students, many fromdifferent backgrounds and modeling experience. Several students have worked therunway as aspiring models in the fashion industry while others walk to shedtheir shy shells.

The ASU Fashion Show is free to everyone, including community members and students from other schools. With its compelling theme,the event will open its doors to everyone on April 13, 2010. However, it isrecommended not to be fashionably late—the show starts at 7:00pm.
