When going to the beach, most people want to look their best. Baring your skin at the beach may cause you to feel self-conscious about certain aspects of your appearance. Try these four medical procedures to prep your body for your trip.

Try a Botox Injection

As a person ages, fine lines start to appear around the eyes, nose and mouth. These lines are made worse by exposure to the sun, smoking and stress. If you have some of these wrinkles, consider an injection of Botox. This can be done in the doctor's office in just a few minutes of time. Be sure to pick up a wide-brimmed hat and some sunglasses to shield your face from the sun in order to prevent new lines from occurring.

Have a Liposuction Procedure

If you have some extra fat around your hips, belly, upper arms or thighs, consider liposuction. This medical procedure could be done a few weeks before you plan to go to the beach for a vacation. Liposuction, like that available from Advanced Aesthetic & Laser Surgery, removes pesky fat cells that seem to stick to the places where you do not want them. Getting yourself mentally prepared to show your body at the beach is easier with these four procedures.

Consider a Dermal Abrasion for Skin Tone

When your skin tone is uneven, consider a dermal abrasion. This procedure is performed by a dermatologist and involves using a laser to remove thickened or dead areas of your skin. After a dermal abrasion, your skin should look fresher and have a more even tone to it. You may need to apply extra moisturizer and a sunblock to protect your skin after a dermal abrasion.

Arrange for Removal of Moles and Warts

Many people have moles on their bodies. As a person gets older, a mole could change in its color, size or shape. Any mole that does this should be checked by a dermatologist. Some moles may need to be removed and tested for the presence of cancerous cells. Warts are often caused by a virus. They are common on the hands and feet. When on the feet, they can cause considerable discomfort. Warts can also be removed in order to help you look better and be more comfortable while at the beach.

Each of these procedures is done on an outpatient basis and has a minimal recovery time. Be sure to choose a flattering swimsuit and cover-up, get your hair and nails done and enjoy your beach vacation.
