Who looks the best in cheongsam?

The cheongsam is a body-hugging one-piece Chinese dress for women. The stylish and often tight-fitting cheongsam is quite popular whether in the East or in the West. In this post, I would share some pictures of western actresses in beautiful cheongsams.

Nicole Kidman
Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman had worn a “Chinese red” long cheongsam in the movie "Australia". This stunning cheongsam was decorated with luxury chrysanthemum and peony embroideries. She looked sexy and graceful. This improved version cheongsam which combined Eastern and Western designs was just made for Nicole. In fact, this was not the first time that Nicole Kidman wore cheongsam. She also wore a red knee length cheongsam when she attend the 2001 Cannes Film Festival.

Kelly Preston
Kelly Preston chose a really traditional Chinese cheongsam when she appeared at the premiere of film "Ladder 49". While other female stars love floral patterns, Kelly Preston has special favor for abstract patterns. This cheongsam was made of red flash fabric. And it came with side slits and Chinese stand-up collar.

Cat Deeley
Cat Deeley appeared in U.S. reality show "SYTYCD" with a red short length cheongsam. Cat Deeley subverted people's traditional impression on "Chinese Red". She looked really sweet and lovely, isn’t it?

Grace Kelly
Grace Kelly had worn cheongsams for many times. The most impressive cheongsam that Grace had worn is the cheongsam that she wore when she attended Foreign Press (Golden Globes predecessor) awards ceremony in 1956. Grace Kelly wore a silver-white knee length cheongsam with a pair of same colored satin heels.
