Wedding: Schorr-Mibb

Chelsea Alane Schorr of Bossier City and Joseph Wayne Mibb of Shreveport were united in marriage on the evening of Saturday, May 21, 2016, at the Scottish Rite Temple in Shreveport. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Justin Haigler.

The bride is the daughter of Sherry and Allen Schorr of Bossier City and the granddaughter of Rosemary Loe and the late Arthur Loe, and the late Louis and Leah Schorr.

The groom is the son of Sandy and Sammy Maranto of Shreveport, and Steve and Gloria Mibb of Williamson, W.V. He is the grandson of Kathleen Olsen and the late Ted Olsen, and the late Albert and Patricia Mibb.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless Lazaro mermaid style gown with a cathedral length veil and carried a bouquet of pink peonies.

Serving as the matron of honor was Brittney West, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid’s were Heather Crumpley, Katelyn Crumpley, Olivia Oxlay, Sarah Wynn (cousins of the bride) and

Cori McHorse. The attendants wore blush colored gowns by Allure.

The flower girl was Scarlett Rose West, niece of the bride.

Serving as the best man was Justin Mibb, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Shaun Whittington, Matt Raney, Chris Heflin, Jonathan Taylor and Richard Pharr.

Serving as ushers were Kane Walters, Daniel Walters, Lance West (brother-in-law of the bride), and Carter Wynn (cousin of the bride).

Floral decorations were by Jemi Adcock. A reception was held at the Scottish Rite Temple following the ceremony.

After a honeymoon to Playa Mujeres, Cancun, Mexico, the couple now resides in Shreveport.

The bride is a graduate of Parkway High School and LSU Shreveport. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree from LSUS in counseling psychology.

The groom is a graduate of Northwood High School and LSU Shreveport. He now teaches at Greenacres Middle School in Bossier City.
