Newly single Kym Marsh switches her style as she trades signature LBD for form-flattering printed dress

A new relationship status appeared to bring with it a new sense of style as single girl Kym Marsh stepped out in Manchester on Thursday evening.

The actress, whose year-long relationship with personal trainer Dan Hooper came to an end in June, had clearly bypassed her extensive collection of little black dresses – opting instead for something rather more fetching.

Kym, 39, sported a marble print off the shoulder dress that clung to her frame as she made an exit from Media City UK after another day on the set of Coronation Street.

Newly single Kym appeared to be on a high, and little wonder after beating Michelle Keegan and two-time winner Carol Vorderman to be named Rear Of The Year 2015.

She said: 'I’d like to thank everyone from the heart of my bottom for voting for me. It’s totally unexpected but greatly appreciated. I’m very flattered to receive this award, it looks like all those extra gym sessions have paid off'

Two-time Rear Of The Year champion Carol Vorderman, 54, who took the title in 2011 and 2014, came third for the women this year.

More than 10,000 votes were cast in the last year, with 25-year-old Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe taking away the male version of the gong.

Kym admits she has been working hard on her figure in her latest OK! column.

She said: 'My strict post-holiday diet is still going well. I've stuck to eating no sugar, carbs, pulses, grains or dairy.

'There's always temptation, like crisps, chocolate, crisps and bread in the Green Room at work - I bring in nuts and tomatoes from home to snack on, so I don't give in to temptation.

'I felt like a lump when I got back from holiday so i was more than ready to get back in the gym and last week, I did a couple of sessions with Matt Baker.'

The actress is currently single after splitting from her fiancé Dan last month.

Just days after Kym, 38, removed her engagement ring, signalling that her relationship with Dan Hooper was well and truly over, the personal trainer deleted Kym from his Twitter account.

Not only did Dan stop following Kym but he changed his profile picture from an image of them both together to a snap of him on his own and removed the words 'fiance to the most amazing girl in the world' from his bio.
