More Oriental Luxe On Fall/Winter 2012 Big Four Runways

Well, life is short, let's go get you all glammed up with more oriental luxe!

Oriental chic has been an irresistible trend which keeps pulling designers back again and again, every other season from Dior's “Red Army” collection 1999, Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 collection “Old Shanghai Glamour” ( to the latest collections by Dries Van Noten, Jason Wu and Miharayasuhiro featured on the Fall/Winter 2012 Big Four runways. Though we have seen many different interpretations of oriental style in past years, the oriental look still fascinates us (and triggers our desire to shop and add an oriental flair to our wardrobe). For Fall/Winter 2012/2013, the designers play around with the characteristics of traditional Asian clothing, namely bold patterned Japanese kimono prints, mandarin collars and the body-hugging silhouette of Chinese qiapo, incorporating an Eastern design perspective into Western aesthetics, which has resulted in new creative expressions where Eastern and Western ideas meet, interact and mingle.
