More is More is More- Iris Apfel

I'm a firm believer that more is more when it comes to accessories (although I am going through somewhat of a minimalist phase right now....I digress...) But the true queen of 'excess'-ories is the one and only Iris Apfel.

 

If your not familiar with Iris well, let me enlighten you. Iris is 90 years young and has worked in fashion and the arts for many moons. In 2007, she was the focus of famed photographer Bruce Weber's lens for Italian Vogue. In 2008, the star of a Coach ad campaign and this year, debuted a line of jewelry, Rava Avis, for HSN.

Said to have a wardrobe so large it resides in a warehouse, Iris's collection has been featured in several exhibitions beginning in 2006 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.


 She's also the star and subject of the book aptly titled "Rare Bird of Fashion: The Irreverent Iris Apfel."
