Medical Professionals Join Community for Fashion Show

The Fairfield Women’s Club (FWC) held their first annual Fashion with Class Style Show on Saturday, July 30 at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. The Memorial Hermann Cypress campus sponsored the event. The fashion show models included teachers, students, doctors, dentists, members from FAC, a fireman, a constable, and several staff members and doctors from Memorial Hermann Cypress.

“We wanted to get as much community involvement to highlight various people in the community and encourage a good turnout for this fund raiser,” said Toni Scott, president of FWC. “[Also], we are indebted to Memorial Hermann Cypress for their sponsorship.”

The Fairfield Women's Club is a non-profit organization in the Fairfield community that is involved in community service and civic improvement by working in neighborhoods and with various charities. The committee head is Joan Gondesen, and she has been a member of FWC for 20 years.

Models wore the latest fashions from White House, Black Market, Eddie Bauer, Chico’s, Six Shooters, Suburban Girl, My Simply Chic, Freckles, and Beyond the Hoop.

The fashion show benefitted charities such as Ault Elementary, Swenke Elementary, Keith Elementary, Slayards Middle, Cy- Ranch, Cy Ranch Key Club, the fire station, Lupus Foundation, Phred’s Place, Team Tiara, OMS Life, CAM, and Boys and Girls Country.

“I think this event let’s the community know what is available for them. We have already been working really closely with the community, and it is just good to know that patients are not just seeing us in the clinic,” said Dr. Olutoni Toni Odumosu MD of Memorial Hermann Medical Group in Cypress. “Memorial Hermann likes to make sure that we know the community. It is good that this event benefits the charities for the Fairfield Women’s Club, and we are hoping that we will help these charities, as well as, other businesses in the Cy-Fair community.”
